Azerbaijani Jazz Concert Held in Switzerland as Part of Septembre Musical Montreux-Vevey Festival
The Swiss festival Septembre Musical Montreux-Vevey hosted an Azerbaijani jazz concert program, combining national musical traditions with modern improvisation.

A musical program dedicated to Azerbaijani jazz took place at the Auditorium Stravinski concert complex in Switzerland. The event was held as part of the Septembre Musical Montreux-Vevey festival following a gala concert, marking the final accord of Azerbaijan's participation in this international festival.
The centerpiece of the evening was a performance by jazz pianist and composer Isfar Sarabski together with his trio, which includes double bassist Makar Novikov and drummer Amir Bresler. The musicians presented Sarabski's original compositions to the audience—"Horses of Garabagh", "Around the Thread", "BTS (Behind Train Station) Blues", "Planet", and "G-Man"—as well as a jazz arrangement of Claude Debussy's piece "Clair de Lune".
Tar player Shahriyar Imanov joined the pianist's trio to perform the composition "Horses of Garabagh" with the ensemble. In addition, famous Azerbaijani singers took part in the program: Honored Artist Sevda Alekperzadeh performed Said Rustamov's composition "Hardasan", while Ilkin Dovlatov presented the Azerbaijani folk song "Ay Lachin".
The concert demonstrated to the Montreux audience a blend of Azerbaijan's national musical heritage with modern jazz forms. The country's cultural program at the festival covered several fields at once, including folk dance, classical music, mugham, and jazz.
