Iran Files ICAO Protest Over US Restrictions on Flights

Iran has filed a protest with the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) over US restrictions on flights by Iranian airlines. Iran Civil Aviation Organization head Abuzar Shiroudi made the statement.
According to him, the protest was prepared and sent to ICAO to protect Iran's legitimate rights and counter restrictions imposed by the United States.
“To protect legitimate rights and counter the illegal restrictions imposed by the United States, Iran's protest was prepared and sent to ICAO,” Shiroudi told IRNA.
Earlier, US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent threatened that from September 23, Iranian airlines would no longer be able to operate flights and would also be denied ground services because of sanctions.
