Grain harvest in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic concludes with a 22% increase in production
The grain harvesting campaign in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic has concluded, with cereal production increasing by 22% compared to the previous year.

The grain harvesting campaign has concluded in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic. According to the State Statistical Committee, work was carried out on an area of 13,778.1 hectares this year. The total volume of the harvested crop amounted to 45,914.2 tons, which is 22% higher than the previous year's figures.
The crop structure was distributed as follows: 4,108.2 hectares were allocated for wheat, yielding 15,320.4 tons of grain, and 9,669.9 hectares for barley, with a production volume of 30,593.8 tons. The average yield across the republic was 33.3 centners per hectare, with wheat reaching 37.3 centners and barley reaching 31.6 centners.
The highest average yield was recorded in the Sharur district at 41.9 centners per hectare, where 11,578.0 tons of grain were harvested. In the Sadarak district, the yield was 39.1 centners (total harvest of 6,288.0 tons), in Babek it was 34.4 centners (14,747.8 tons), and in the city of Nakhchivan it was 32.0 centners (1,517.4 tons).
In the remaining districts, the figures were distributed as follows: 1,686.4 tons were harvested in the Ordubad district (29.0 c/ha), 3,266.5 tons in Julfa (25.5 c/ha), 1,326.0 tons in Shahbuz (25.4 c/ha), and 5,504.1 tons in the Kangarli district (24.3 c/ha).
For comparison, in 2025, 37,648.8 tons of grain were harvested in the republic from an area of 15,029.4 hectares, with an average yield of 25.1 centners per hectare.
