Chinese automaker GAC intends to introduce 12 new electric and hybrid models in the French market by 2030. This was stated by Cedric Lacour, deputy general director of GAC in France.
The company plans to open 200 dealerships in France over the next four years. Fifty of them are expected to be operational this year.
Expansion of production in Europe
GAC also intends to increase production capacity in Europe and organise a full assembly cycle to avoid duties. Currently, GAC vehicles for European countries are assembled in Austria at Magna Steyr's facility using semi-knocked-down kits. Among the options for locating production, both Magna Steyr and other investors are being considered.

Current sales
Currently, the Aion V electric crossover and the Aion UT hatchback are on sale in France. GAC vehicles are already present in the United Kingdom, Finland, Greece, Poland, Spain and Portugal. The brand's export sales in the first half of the year amounted to 346,000 vehicles, which is 36 percent more than a year earlier.
