On August 24, 2026, the Heydar Aliyev Center building in Baku was illuminated in the colors of the national flag of Ukraine. The action was held as a sign of solidarity with the Ukrainian people.
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the Republic of Azerbaijan Yuriy Husyev shared his impressions on his page on the social network X.
"Baku looks especially magnificent tonight! Our heartfelt gratitude to Azerbaijan!" the diplomat wrote.
