Azerbaijan observes minute of silence for Martyrs of Patriotic War

On 27 September 2026, Azerbaijan marks Remembrance Day. At 12:00, a minute of silence was held across the country in memory of the martyrs of the Patriotic War. In Khankendi, traffic was halted in connection with this.
As reported by the public relations department of the Service for Restoration, Construction and Management in the city of Khankendi, Aghdere and Khojaly district, after the minute of silence a march was held to Victory Park. Wreaths were laid at the memorial in memory of the martyrs.
Who took part in the ceremony
The commemorative event was attended by employees of the special representation of the President, the Service for Restoration, Construction and Management, representatives of state bodies, residents of the city, law enforcement officers, families of the martyrs and war veterans.
A minute of silence in honor of the martyrs of the Patriotic War was also observed in Nakhchivan. Commemorative events were held in other regions of the country as well.
