Azerbaijan issues heavy rain warning for September 29
Azerbaijan's National Hydrometeorological Service has issued a heavy rain warning. Baku and parts of the Absheron Peninsula are expected to see rain and thunderstorms on September 29, with hail and snow possible in some areas and in the highlands.

Azerbaijan's National Hydrometeorological Service has issued a heavy rain warning. According to the warning, periodic rain is expected in Baku and some parts of the Absheron Peninsula on September 29.
In some areas of the peninsula, the rain may take the form of short-lived downpours, with thunderstorms possible.
In the regions of Azerbaijan, rain is expected in some places at times from September 29 until the evening of September 30. In some areas, the downpours may be intense and heavy, with thunderstorms, hail and snow possible in the high mountain areas.
Because of the expected rainy weather conditions, river water levels are forecast to rise. Short-term floods and mudslides are possible on some rivers of the Greater and Lesser Caucasus, as well as in the Lankaran-Astara region.
