Azerbaijan Introduces Another Restriction on Bank Cards
A number of banks in Azerbaijan have banned the sale of more than one card of the same category to a customer. Some banks have already introduced the restriction, while others will halt sales from October 1.

In Azerbaijan, a number of banks have imposed a ban on selling customers more than one card of the same category. The relevant instructions were sent to the banks.
Some banks are already applying this restriction, while others will stop sales from October 1.
Thus, if a customer has one active debit card, they will no longer be able to order a second card in the same currency.
At the same time, in a different currency, the customer can still order a second debit card.
Previous Restrictions
Earlier, the country introduced a limit on card-to-card transfers. Under the rule in effect since August 1, for each payment instrument owned by a user, incoming transfers are limited to 5 per day and 20,000 manats per month. Outgoing transactions are not restricted.
The new ban on selling more than one card of the same category has become another such measure.
