‘Last Breath’ Rights Campaign Highlights Fate of Death Row Prisoners in Iran

As part of the international human rights campaign "Last Breath", activists have begun publishing the names and photographs of people sentenced to death in Iran. The main goal of the initiative is to share the personal stories of the condemned and draw the international community's attention to the issue of mass executions in the country.
The project organizers aim to ensure that prisoners do not remain faceless statistics and that their deaths do not go unpunished.
Since the beginning of the current year, more than 950 people have been executed in Iran. This figure includes at least 29 citizens arrested in connection with the January protests. Dozens more convicts remain under direct threat of execution.
