Naomi Shemer’s letter donated to the National Library of Israel
The National Library of Israel has expanded its archives with a response letter from poet Naomi Shemer, donated by Aharon Bar-Oz.

On August 31, 2026, Aharon Bar-Oz officially donated a response letter written by poet Naomi Shemer to the National Library of Israel for preservation.
Commenting on the event, Bar-Oz noted that the document belongs in the state archives. According to him, it is important both for descendants and for those who hold a position of conscientious objection to military service.
