Ramil Gasimov Stages Concert Marking 100th Anniversary of Ramiz Mustafayev

A concert marking the 100th anniversary of the birth of outstanding Azerbaijani composer, People's Artist and professor Ramiz Mustafayev was held at the Azerbaijan State Academic Philharmonic Hall named after Muslim Magomayev.

The evening, held under the title "Yadıma sən düşürsən," was performed by the well-known Azerbaijani opera singer, Honored Artist Ramil Gasimov. His performance featured songs and romances by the composer.

The programme was accompanied by the Azerbaijan State Academic Chamber Orchestra named after Gara Garayev, conducted by Honored Artist Ayub Guliyev. The concert was hosted by Honored Artist Narghiz Aliyeva. Soltan Aliyev played the nagara, and Javanshir Rustambeyli played the tar.

The opening remarks were delivered by academician and deputy chairman Milli Medjlis Rafael Huseynov. He spoke about Ramiz Mustafayev's contribution to the development of Azerbaijani musical culture, his rich creative legacy and the features of his works.

According to the organisers, the songs and romances performed by Ramil Gasimov were warmly received by the audience. The concert ended to loud applause.
