The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (SEPAH) said that four vessels were attacked simultaneously in the Strait of Hormuz. The statement was reported by the APA.AZ agency, citing the SEPAH statement.

According to the statement, SEPAH forces tracked four vessels that were moving along an illegal route, and detected them in the central part of the northern Persian Gulf, where they were unloading oil products from ship to ship. The statement says all four vessels were attacked simultaneously and caught fire.

The statement also says that in the evening, in the western part of the Strait of Hormuz, three vessels that violated established rules were struck by mines and caught fire.

SEPAH said that American ships encourage passage through the illegal and mined part of the Strait of Hormuz, and that for this reason the number of attacked vessels is increasing day by day.

SEPAH also threatened to strike US regional bases if the situation develops in this way.

"This is a serious warning," the statement said.

Fars news agency, citing SEPAH, reported that four vessels attacked by SEPAH naval and aerial forces north of the Persian Gulf either belonged to the United States or were carrying cargo for an American company. The source attributes this information to Fars and it has not been independently verified.
