On August 26, President of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) Rovshan Najaf met with a delegation from the Export-Import Bank of China, led by the financial organization's Vice President, Wang Kang.
During the talks, the successful development of relations between SOCAR and Chinese companies, as well as financial institutions, was noted. The parties emphasized the implementation of a number of significant projects aimed at expanding bilateral cooperation in various fields.
Rovshan Najaf provided information on SOCAR's current activities in Azerbaijan and abroad, and shared the company's plans for future projects. In turn, representatives of the Chinese delegation spoke about the activities of the Export-Import Bank, which acts as a state financial institution of the PRC, supporting foreign investment and international economic cooperation.
A key topic of discussion was the opportunities for interaction in the energy sector. Particular attention was paid to prospects for cooperation in the oil refining industry. The meeting participants also exchanged views on a wide range of issues of mutual interest.
