UN Experts Report Possible US War Crimes and Human Rights Violations in Iran

Independent United Nations investigators stated on Thursday that there are "reasonable grounds" to believe that the United States of America committed war crimes against civilians in Iran. At the same time, the country's civilian population faces "gross human rights violations" by its own government.
These findings are contained in the experts' latest report, which is scheduled to be officially presented at a meeting of the UN Human Rights Council on Monday.
In the document, independent researchers urged the 47 member states of the Council to make efforts to end the war, ensure accountability for all those responsible for war crimes, and provide asylum to civilians fleeing the conflict.
