A panel discussion titled "State Support Mechanisms in Agriculture" was held in Aghdam district as part of the 100th Anniversary Agrarian Business Festival.

The event, organised jointly by the Agrarian Innovation Centre of the Ministry of Agriculture and the Special Representation of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Aghdam, Fuzuli and Khojavand districts, was attended by Minister of Agriculture Majnun Mammadov, Special Representative Emin Huseynov, the head of Agro Dairy LLC Niyazi Amirabayov and the head of Azersheker company Nasib Islamzade.

The panel discussed prospects for the development of the agricultural sector, state support mechanisms, the application of modern technologies in agriculture and the realisation of the agricultural potential of the territories liberated from occupation.

Majnun Mammadov said that the application of advanced technologies in agriculture, the expansion of competitive production and the strengthening of food security are among the main priorities. It was noted that the State Programme covering 2026–2030 also lists the sustainable development of the agricultural sector and the acceleration of the transition to an intensive production model among its main goals.

Emin Huseynov stressed the importance of the festival held in Aghdam for reviving the district's agricultural potential, building new partnerships and attracting investment.

The discussions also focused on reconstruction and construction work carried out in Aghdam within the framework of the Great Return, the involvement of entrepreneurs in the region and the expansion of public-private sector cooperation.

It should be noted that the number of panel discussions held across 12 economic regions since last year has reached 25 with the event organised in Aghdam.

As part of the event, letters of appreciation were presented to employees, company representatives and farmers who actively participated in the organisation of the Agrarian Business Festivals. On the occasion of 5 October – International Teachers' Day, a meeting was held with teachers working in Aghdam and an exhibition prepared by pupils of the city's secondary school No. 1 was viewed.
