Due to road repairs, the routes of seven regular bus lines have been temporarily changed in Baku and the Absheron district. This was reported by the Azerbaijan National Transport Agency (AYNA).
Repair works are under way at the intersection of 28 May and Jalil Mammadquluzadeh streets in the settlement of Mehdiabad. Because of them, transport movement there is restricted. In connection with this, the routes of buses 147 and 179 have been changed.
Until the repair works are completed, buses on route 147 heading towards the Azadlig metro station will run without stopping to the centre of the Mehdiabad settlement. They will travel along Zelimkhan Yaqub Street in the Diga settlement and 28 May Street in Mehdiabad.
Route 179 has been reorganised along Fazil Ismayilov, Mahammad Amin Rasulzade, Nariman Narimanov streets and 28 May Street in Mehdiabad.
In addition, in the Surakhani district of Baku, due to repairs on David Dzhabbarzade Street, traffic of five more routes has been diverted to alternative streets. Buses on routes 106, 141, 168 and 169 travel along Heydar Aliyev Avenue, while route 214A runs along 25th Bulbul Street.
