Australian authorities have introduced a reform project called "My Feed, My Way," which aims to change how social media platforms operate in the country. If the law is passed, users will have the right to disable algorithmic recommendations.
According to the proposed changes, account holders will be able to customize their feeds to see only posts from users they follow. This will eliminate the automatic generation of content based on preferences determined by the platforms' software algorithms.
