CETC: China is developing an integrated network of heterogeneous unmanned systems
The China Electronics Technology Group Corporation (CETC) has announced progress in creating autonomous systems capable of coordinating land, air, and sea drones in contested environments.

CETC, a leading developer in unmanned technologies, has announced a transition to a new stage of autonomous system integration. While previous efforts focused on creating swarms of identical drones, the current goal is to form a combat network that unites heterogeneous unmanned platforms operating across different domains.
According to the institute, large-scale field tests have confirmed the ability of existing swarm systems to perform autonomous reconfiguration. The technologies allow drones to independently fill gaps in formation and continue executing assigned missions even if individual units are lost.
During the tests, the network's resilience to complex external factors, including communication channel disruptions and intense electromagnetic interference, was proven. These capabilities allow the systems to maintain combat effectiveness under extreme conditions.
Currently, CETC specialists are continuing work on increasing the survivability of heterogeneous swarms composed of various types of unmanned vehicles. The primary focus is on ensuring the effectiveness of these systems during long-range operations in high-intensity combat scenarios.
