Azerenerji’s export revenue rose to $7.5 million in the first seven months of 2026

For the first seven months of 2026, the export revenue of the state energy company Azerenerji amounted to $7.5 million. According to a report from the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communications, this figure exceeded the data for the same period in 2025 by $3.5 million, or 87.5%.
Azerenerji is among the key state entities contributing to Azerbaijan's non-oil exports. The list of leading exporters also includes SOCAR, AzerGold, SOCAR Polymer, Azeraluminium, Azərpambıq Aqrar Sənaye Kompleksi, Azerbaijan Airlines, as well as Nakhchivan Energy and SOCAR-CAPE.
In parallel with its export activities, the company continues to implement infrastructure projects. Currently, the process of selecting contractors for the construction of new power lines and the modernization of existing ones is underway. The total cost of the planned works is estimated at 17.428 million manats (approximately $10.25 million).
The list of projects includes relocating the 330 kV double-circuit power transmission line from the Banka solar power plant to the Nevahi substation outside the territory of the Shirvan National Park, additional work on relocating the Banka substation (330 kV), and the construction of the Yevlakh-Barda 110 kV power transmission line.
According to the Ministry of Energy of Azerbaijan, in the first half of 2026, Azerenerji's electricity generation volume amounted to 11.479 billion kWh. The bulk of the production came from thermal power plants (9.569 billion kWh), while hydroelectric power plants produced 1.883 billion kWh, and solar power plants produced 27.4 million kWh.
