Azerbaijan and Türkiye Sign Protocol of 5th Energy Forum
Energy cooperation between Azerbaijan and Türkiye strengthens the positions of both countries in regional and global markets, Turkish Minister Alparslan Bayraktar stated.

Energy cooperation between Türkiye and Azerbaijan plays a key role in ensuring access to regional and global markets. This was stated by Turkish Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Alparslan Bayraktar during the 5th Azerbaijani-Turkish Energy Forum taking place in Baku.
According to the head of the ministry, relations between the two states have a unique character that goes beyond ordinary neighborliness or trade partnership.
“These relations are based on unbreakable brotherhood, mutual trust, and achievements that we have made throughout history. Therefore, we do not view this forum simply as a gathering of the energy sectors of two countries. It is in fact a strategic platform where we see our shared future under the motto 'One nation, two states' and transform this vision into concrete projects,” Bayraktar noted.
The minister stressed that the energy sector is one of the most significant areas of bilateral interaction. Implemented joint projects cover natural gas, hydrocarbons, as well as pipelines through which Azerbaijan's energy resources reach international markets via the territory of Türkiye.
“These projects are more than transporting energy resources from one country to another; they are concrete examples of the trust our countries have for each other, our long-term vision, and our determination to act together,” he added.
In addition, cooperation between the institutions of the two countries covers a wide spectrum of areas — from mining and renewable energy sources to energy efficiency, power markets, as well as electricity transmission and distribution.
