Trump described the planned payments as the "Trump Dividend" and explained their necessity by citing the "enormous economic successes" achieved by the country. The politician emphasized that this is an unprecedented initiative in US history.
The main condition for receiving the funds is that they must be spent exclusively within the United States. "I don't want you spending this money in Canada, China, or Germany. You must spend it in the USA," Trump stated, adding that a Republican victory in the elections would be a win for all citizens.
According to demographic data, there are approximately 270 million adult citizens in the US. Thus, the implementation of the program would require an allocation of approximately $1.35 trillion from the budget.
