Agriculture Minister Majnun Mammadov met with citizens in Shabran.
The meeting was organized within the framework of the meetings that heads of central executive authority bodies hold with citizens in the regions, in accordance with the instructions and recommendations of the President of Azerbaijan.
The minister received citizens from Shabran, Siyazan, Khachmaz, Quba, and Qusar districts at the Shabran State Agrarian Development Center and listened to their appeals, applications, and complaints.
Before the meeting, Majnun Mammadov visited the monument to National Leader Heydar Aliyev in Shabran and honored his memory.
At the meeting, held with the participation of heads of the ministry's structural divisions and subordinate bodies, the citizens' appeals mainly concerned agricultural subsidies, irrigation water supply, allocation and change of designation of land plots, agricultural credits, leasing of agricultural machinery, and agro-technical services.
Majnun Mammadov listened to each appeal and gave instructions to the relevant persons regarding the investigation of the raised issues and their resolution in accordance with legal requirements.
Some of the appeals were resolved during the meeting. Issues requiring investigation were taken under control, and appeals not falling within the ministry's authority were registered for referral to the relevant bodies.
During the meeting, farmers and agricultural producers were also informed about the main directions of the State Program for 2026–2030. New support mechanisms, efficient use of water and land resources, the development of agricultural processing and logistics infrastructure, as well as expanding farmers' access to modern agricultural services were discussed.
At the meeting, it was emphasized that the measures implemented by the state in the direction of agricultural development serve to strengthen the agricultural sector and expand the capabilities of agricultural producers.
