Actor Abidin Erebakan, who played the character Abidin in the series "Valley of the Wolves," made a statement amid the reopened investigation into the circumstances of the death of former MİT officer Kashif Kozinoğlu. He said this on September 24, 2026.
According to him, the events shown in the series repeatedly coincided with what happened in real life.
"No one is infallible; the hidden is known only to Allah. But we watched something, and three days later we experienced it in real life. We experienced this many times."
Erebakan noted that he joined the series from the 7th episode and took part in the first 97 episodes. At the same time, he stressed that during the period when Kozinoğlu's name was in the spotlight, he was not involved in the project.
As part of the investigation, reopened after Kozinoğlu's death, the series' screenwriters Raji Shashmaz, Bahadir Ozdener and Cuneyt Aysan were questioned as "persons in possession of information." Information was also obtained from Sedat Savtak, who played the role of "Kazim Kashifoğlu," and Emin Oljay, who played "Omer-babu."
Kashif Kozinoğlu is a former officer of Turkey's National Intelligence Organization (MİT). The investigation into the circumstances of his death has been reopened.
