Iran Says US Plans New Military Action
Iran's military command said the United States plans to resume military action against Iran and warned of a possible response.

The General Command of the Iranian Armed Forces said on September 20, 2026, that it had received information about US plans to resume military action against Iran. The Iranian military warned that in the event of aggression, its response would target American bases and interests in the region.
The statement said Tehran had information that the United States had received a "green light" for these plans from countries in the region at a joint meeting in one of the European countries.
If the United States carries out any act of aggression against the Islamic Republic of Iran, all its bases and interests in the region will be subjected to sustained, effective and painful attacks without any restrictions or reservations.
Iran's military command also issued a warning to regional countries. According to its statement, states that continue a "dual policy" toward Iran will be considered "accomplices" and should not expect restraint from the Iranian armed forces.
