Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev participated in the 'SCO Plus' summit in Bishkek, where he discussed regional cooperation issues with the leaders of Russia, Turkey, and India.

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev arrived in Bishkek to participate in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit in the 'SCO Plus' format. During the event, the head of state held a number of meetings with foreign leaders.
Ilham Aliyev held talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, and the Prime Minister of India. The parties discussed current issues on the bilateral and regional agenda.
Meetings at the level of foreign ministers also took place within the framework of the summit. Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov held talks with his Iranian counterpart Abbas Araghchi, and Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan Hikmat Hajiyev met with Alen Simonyan to discuss regional issues.
The summit in Bishkek served as a platform for discussions on the role of the SCO in the global governance architecture. President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov emphasized the need for the organization's active participation in preventing global crises, while Chinese leader Xi Jinping noted the importance of the SCO as a driving force for common prosperity in Eurasia.
