State Duma proposes automatic renewal of disability status

Deputies of the State Duma from the New People faction have introduced a proposal to transition to the automatic renewal of disability status. The initiative is aimed at reducing the administrative burden on citizens and simplifying the process of obtaining government services.
According to the proposal, individuals who already have an established disability status will not be required to undergo re-examination to renew it. Automating the process is intended to eliminate the need to collect additional documents and visit specialized commissions.
At present, the initiative is under discussion. It is expected that the implementation of such a system will significantly reduce bureaucratic barriers for people with disabilities.
