Uzbekistan and Serbia strengthen bilateral cooperation
During Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić's visit to Tashkent, the parties agreed to expand cooperation in political, economic, and humanitarian spheres.

During the official visit of the President of the Republic of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, to Tashkent on October 28–29, the parties laid the foundation for a new stage in bilateral relations. Following the negotiations, the heads of state signed a joint statement and a package of intergovernmental agreements covering political, trade-economic, and cultural-humanitarian spheres.
The legal framework for cooperation was strengthened on May 7, when the Agreement on Economic Cooperation officially entered into force. To ensure regular dialogue between the countries, a mechanism for political consultations at the level of foreign ministries was established, as well as a permanent joint intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation.
The development of bilateral contacts continued with the visit of Serbian Foreign Minister Marko Đurić, during which the parties discussed current agenda issues. Interaction between the countries in 2025–2026 is characterized by a new dynamic in political dialogue.
It is expected that the upcoming return official visit of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, to Serbia will allow bilateral relations to reach a level of mutually beneficial partnership that is significant both at the regional and global levels.
