Sergey Lavrov notes the role of the Russia-Uzbekistan partnership in ensuring regional security

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov sent a congratulatory message to his Uzbek counterpart, Bakhtiyor Saidov, on the occasion of the 35th anniversary of Uzbekistan's independence. In his message, the Russian diplomat emphasized the key importance of relations between Moscow and Tashkent for maintaining stability and security both in Central Asia and in the Eurasian space as a whole.

Sergey Lavrov expressed confidence in the further development of bilateral interaction in accordance with the agreements reached at the highest level. According to the Russian Foreign Minister, Moscow highly values the level of cooperation between the foreign ministries of the two states.

The telegram notes that Russia and Uzbekistan, within the framework of their comprehensive strategic partnership and allied relations, continue to strengthen coordination of actions on the international stage and develop a complex of bilateral ties.

The Russian minister also highly praised Uzbekistan's successes in state-building and in the socio-economic sphere. He emphasized that thanks to the professionalism of Uzbek diplomats, the republic has strengthened its authority in the world community.

In concluding his message, Sergey Lavrov wished Bakhtiyor Saidov and the entire staff of the diplomatic service of Uzbekistan professional success and well-being.
